Pupil Premium
“The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers” (gov.uk website)
It is our intent to deliberately assign the Pupil Premium funding to provide first-rate quality teaching across our academy through specific CPD. The Pupil Premium sits at the heart of a whole academy effort, with all staff at Hillside understanding the strategy and their role within it prioritising the achievement of our children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Sports Premium Funding
The PE and Sport Premium is designed to help children get an active start in life, supporting primary schools to improve the quality of their PE and sport provision so that pupils experience the benefits of regular exercise – from becoming healthier both mentally and physically to improved behaviour and better academic achievement.
The PE and Sport Premium is a ring-fenced grant for English primary schools to provide additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE, sport, and physical activity. Allocations to schools are determined by a formula based on pupil numbers.
