Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE)

We know that Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education is an important and necessary part of all pupils’ education, and Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Education (SMSC) must be promoted.

We also have a duty of care to keep our pupils safe. Age-appropriate teaching of PSHE can help prepare pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. We use the Jigsaw PSHE scheme to facilitate this learning alongside the Co-op values curriculum. This includes statutory Relationships and Health Education, in a spiral, progressive and fully planned scheme of work, giving our children relevant learning experiences to help them navigate their world and to develop positive relationships with themselves and others.
