    We are delighted to announce we have joined Co-op Academies Trust, and we invite our entire community to join us in celebrating this exciting occasion at our Community Fete.

    Date: Wednesday 7th June

    Time: 2 pm – 4 pm

    Location: Co-op Academy Hillside

    Get ready for a day filled with fun, laughter, and delicious treats. We’ll have some fantastic activities lined up, and you won’t want to miss out on the excitement. Here’s what you can expect:

    🐴 Donkey Rides: Kids (and kids at heart) will have a blast riding and bonding with these adorable creatures. It’s going to be an unforgettable experience!

    🍔 BBQ: Our grills will be fired up, serving mouthwatering burgers and sizzling treats to satisfy your hunger. Come and enjoy some tasty bites.

    🎨 Craft Stalls: We’re proud to showcase the talents of local craft makers. Explore their unique creations and support our local artisans. You might find that perfect treasure you’ve been looking for!

    ☕ Coffee Van: Our coffee van will be brewing up aromatic beverages to keep you energized and refreshed throughout the day.

    🍦 Ice Cream Van: Treat yourself to a scoop (or two) of creamy, dreamy ice cream.

    🏰 Bouncy Castle: Have a blast on our bouncy castle.

    🎨 Crafts Made by the pupils: Marvel at the creativity of our talented students as they proudly display their handmade crafts. You’ll be amazed by their skills!

    🎲 Games Galore: The pupils have prepared a variety of games that will keep everyone entertained. Join in the fun and challenge your skills.

    🎵 Music: Feel the rhythm and groove to the beats as our music sets the mood for a festive celebration.

    🎟️ Raffle: Take a chance and enter our raffle for a shot at winning some fabulous prizes.

    🎪 Tombola: Brace yourself for a whirlwind of surprises with our tombola.

    🐴 Stroke the Pony: Experience a heartwarming moment as you gently stroke our friendly and lovable pony. It’s sure to bring a smile to your face.

    This community fete is all about bringing our Co-op Academy Hillside family together, along with the wider community. Let’s celebrate this exciting new chapter in our school’s journey and create some unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to see you all there!

  • Orla Wins Art Competition

    Year 5 were entered into the Dot-Art schools’ competition where schools from the Liverpool City region enter their own artwork and after a shortlisting vote, the winner for our school was chosen to be Orla!

    Her artwork will now be displayed in the Walker Art Gallery in June and she will be presented with her winners certificate at an awards ceremony at St Georges Hall.

    She has now been entered into the vote to potentially be crowned the winner of the whole competition.

  • Spanish Food Tasting

    In Year 5 we did some taste testing with Spanish foods.

    We tried a few different tapas dishes and rated which one was our favourite.

    As you can tell from the pictures there weren’t many people who were a fan of the olives but the Patatas Bravas went down a storm!
